Overview

The combination of 16-gauge ammunition and a fast to point over and under shotgun is very likely the ideal combination for upland game. When it comes to over and unders, none match the reputation for durability like a Browning Citori. This model is built on a receiver that is sized to match smaller 16 gauge shells. It features a deeply blued receiver finish with beautiful engraving artwork and stock checkering that provide updated style to the timeless Citori design.

The "lightning" part of the name is attributed to the traditional, rounded stock pistol grip that allows you to position your hand at the same, solid place for each shot, thus offering better control for fast-flying upland game and clay targets. Sharp checkering ensures a secure hold.

The roots of the Citori lead back to John M. Browning's original Superposed over and under shotgun. Present is the rugged and long-lasting full-width hinge pin and tapered locking lug design that keeps the action tight. The finish of the steel receiver is a durable silver nitride that looks great and resists corrosion.

Browning technology also goes into the high-quality barrels with the addition of Total Barrel Dynamics. This three-pronged approach combines Vector Pro lengthened forcing cones, back-boring, and the Invector-Plus choke tube system to produce denser, more predictable shot patterns from full to skeet.
