Apparel Product Manager

As Product Manager, this individual will be responsible for leading the Apparel business unit. This position requires a candidate who possesses a passionate and active interest in the hunting and shooting sports, along with an in-depth knowledge of the outdoor and athletic clothing industries. 

This position requires a person with a solid knowledge of line planning and supply chain processes. The ability to take initiative, the ability to influence others and build relationships with internal and external clients is key. Candidates should possess a balance between analytical and emotional intelligence skills and who flourish within a collaborative, diverse environment. Strong business and financial acumen as well as technical product knowledge, a big picture vision and the drive to convert that vision into a reality are vital.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, and are not limited to, the following: Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Develops new products and increases the reach and profitability of existing products as they move through their life cycles. An ability to work closely with internal and external cross-functional partners to bring new apparel ideas to market is a must.
  2. Plans and schedules tasks so that work completes on time. Keeps track of details to ensure work is accurate and complete.  Accurately estimates resources needed for product completion.  Prioritizes various competing tasks and performs them quickly and efficiently according to their urgency.  Anticipates obstacles to product completion and takes the necessary corrective action steps if the products/projects go off track. Keeps all stakeholders informed of progress and all relevant changes to product timeliness.
  3. Builds products from existing ideas and guides the development of new products based on ideas obtained from personal industry experience, contact with customers and focus groups with key super users. 
  4. Manages the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, including, but not limited to: Conceptualization, design, development, sourcing, marketing, selling, etc.
  5. Understands market trends in the industry and the company’s position within the market.  Knows who the company’s primary competitors are, and stays current on organizational strategies to maintain competitiveness.  
  6. Possesses a broad knowledge and perspective to identify patterns and trends in the marketplace and applies this vision for planning future product lines.  
  7. Exhibits a strong passion for, and participates in, the Hunting and Shooting market, understanding user challenges with current apparel offerings and manages the development of innovative solutions.
  8. Serves as the internal and external evangelist for the products offering, working closely with the sales channel and key customers to drive product placement and sell through. 
  9. Analyzes and recommends potential partner relationships for the product based on overall value creation for the organization.
  10. Travels up to 20% of the time, which may include domestic as well as international.
  11. Works with marketing communications to bring various materials to press on a regular basis.  Provides input to the marketing direction each season.
  12. Uses advanced merchandising skills and understands how product assortment, presentation minimums, and store sets can all affect product ST% and top line revenue.
  13. Abides by a strict code of ethics and behavior.  Chooses an ethical course of action and “does the right thing,” even in the face of opposition.  Encourages others to behave accordingly.  Treats others with honesty, fairness and respect.   Makes decisions that are objective and reflect the just treatment of others. Accepts responsibility for one’s decisions and actions, and attempts to learn from mistakes.
  14. Advanced competency with MS Word, Excel, PLM software and PowerPoint used to prepare presentations and communicate findings at design reviews and sales meetings. 


  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Basic accounting principles: Budgets; statistics; mathematics
  • Marketing principles
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs.  Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop is a plus.
  • Familiarity with textiles and apparel retailing, wholesaling and manufacturing is a plus.

Customer Service Agent

Browning located in scenic Mountain Green, Utah is searching for a Customer Service Agent.

This position requires someone who can provide top-notch service to our customers over the phone, via email and online chat. It requires someone who is outgoing, organized, friendly and who enjoys interacting with consumers to answer questions, solve problems and provide education while maintaining our company’s reputation for high-quality service.

The duties performed in this position require technical knowledge of Browning and Winchester firearms products. Avid hunting and shooting experience will provide a solid background allowing the agent to answer questions posed during a technical call. Additional on-the-job product training will be provided through printed literature, product classes and sales meetings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the Following:

  1. Learn and maintain updated technical knowledge of Browning and Winchester firearms including outdoor- style products.
  2. Provide information and instructions about these products to customers.
  3. Make product and service suggestions to meet the customer’s specific needs.
  4. Ensure all service calls from customers result in returned phone calls, follow through, and resolving issues.
  5. Adapt and use new technologies as needed.
  6. Learn all Browning and Winchester products in order to process customer questions and sales orders.
  7. Attend consumer/dealer shows as needed.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Service Processor

The Browning Service and Distribution Center located in Arnold, Missouri, is searching for a full-time Service Processor to join our team and provide top-notch service to our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the Following:

  • Open, inspect, document and package service returns
  • Accurately identify serial numbered items and enter them into computer systems
  • Accurately enter customer information into computer systems in compliance with regulatory agency requirements
  • Making sure all firearms are not loaded and are flagged appropriately in compliance with Safe Firearm Handling Procedures
  • Receiving of small package deliveries and mail for all departments, checking for damage and suspicious packages/mail
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with manifests, invoices, and customer letters to verify accuracy
  • Confer or correspond with leadership to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications
  • Deliver or route materials appropriately using hand truck, conveyor, or carts/racks or notify others of deliveries
  • Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain an inventory of stock
  • Assist others in the processing of customer returns as directed
  • Inspecting of completed repairs for quality, accuracy and packaging for return shipment
  • Daily cleaning and maintaining of work station and department
