The Browning Service and Distribution Center located in Arnold, Missouri, is searching for a full-time Service Processor to join our team and provide top-notch service to our customers.

The duties performed in this position involve:

  • Work safely with firearms daily.
  • Lifting/moving 8-12 lb cartons frequently, 15 -70 lb cartons regularly and 70-125lb cartons (with assistance from others or material handling equipment) occasionally in a work day
  • Obtaining and processing information
  • Interacting with computers

  • Assist others in the processing of customer returns as directed.
  • Inspecting of completed repairs for quality, accuracy and packaging for return shipment.

Customer Service Administrative Assistant – P/T

Browning located in scenic Mountain Green, Utah is searching for a part-time Administrative Assistant in the Customer Service Department.  This position is responsible for keeping the Customer Service department running smoothly. The primary job functions of this job include: collecting reporting information, maintaining files, performing research, compiling statistical data, preparing schedules, sorting mail, answering telephones, entering data, and preparing correspondence. Taking initiative, having good communication skills and being proficient in Microsoft Office Suite are a must for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assisting customer service agents with consumer requests. 
  • Promptly and courteously answering department phone calls, replying to emails, faxes and letters.
  • Covering for the switchboard operator as needed.
  • Mailing out owner’s manuals and other items requested by customers.

  • Ordering office supplies and other miscellaneous items for the department.

Parts Inspector

Browning, an industry leader in the Shooting and Hunting Outdoor industry, located in scenic Mountain Green, Utah, is searching for a Parts Inspector.  This position is responsible for measuring and analyzing parts to print conformance using a variety of inspection equipment. The person applying for this position must have the ability to program and run a CMM utilizing PC-DMIS software, and requires efficiency in blueprint reading, metrology, and GD&T. Some assistance with product qualification may be necessary. Having a knowledge of firearms, their classifications, action type/option, some mechanical understanding, plus one who enjoys, supports and has a passion for the firearms industry is very important.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Inspect and measure finished products, components, or assemblies to verify adherence to specifications. 
  2. Perform inspections using calipers, height gauges, micrometers, bore gauges, optical comparator, etc.
  3. Read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, geometric dimensioning, and tolerances.
  4. Program and run CMM (PC-DMIS).
  5. Willingness to offer assistance to the Quality Manager on technical matters.
  6. Communicate and develop a positive relationship with internal and external employees and customers.
  7. Conform to strict standards and procedures. Be respectfully firm in communicating those standards to others involved in the processes.
  8. Some international and domestic travel may be required.
  9. All other duties as required/assigned.

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. 

  1. Install parts such as metallic, plastic, rubber, wood, pistol grips, recoil pads.
  2. Mount and boresight scopes.
  3. Test fire firearms for function and/or accuracy.
  4. Document shot pattern or group sizes.
  5. Blue metallic parts.
  6. Operate various machines to grind and polish metal parts.
  7. Operate power and hand tools to repair firearms.
  8. Fit and re-crown barrels.
  9. Properly utilize machines, tools and personal protective equipment.
  10. Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience:                                                 

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education:

Attendance at a formal 1-2 year accredited in-house gunsmithing program, with proof of completion.

Senior Administrative Assistant & Sales Coordinator
