Part-Time Administrative Assistant

Browning is searching for a responsible, part-time R&D Administrative Assistant to work 20-24 hours per week. The right candidate must be highly detailed oriented, love to multi-task and take initiative. Responsibilities include a variety of administrative and clerical tasks performed in a polite and professional manner. 


  1. Performs administrative functions of the Division to ensure all reports and documents are produced and distributed in a timely and efficient manner as assigned by the Sr. Administrative Assistant of R&D.
  2. Tracks, logs, distributes, posts and files all T&E reports including preparation and submission of reports for R&D and Quality Departments.
  3. Tracks and compiles all project hours and expenses for engineers, quality, and shop personnel.  Tallies and enters data to project cost analysis spreadsheet.
  4. Enters new ammunition receipts to ammunition inventory software.  Sets up new ammunition specs.
  5. Prepares monthly ammunition and expense report to the Accounting Department.
  6. Processes accounts payables invoices through the on-line accounting program.
  7. Prepares and distributes manual purchase orders from outside vendors for engineers, quality and shop requirements.
  8. Prepares sales orders and RMAs through Oracle for shipments to and from Browning affiliates, vendors, attorneys, for engineers, quality control and model shop employees.
  9. Accounts for firearms movement via sub-inventory transfers and consignments through Oracle.
  10. Scans SDS documentation and uploads proper SDS sheets to the Safety on-line program.  Enters all relevant information for each chemical.
  11. Screens incoming calls and directs calls to appropriate party or assists callers if able to answer their questions.
  12. Researches and purchases airline tickets, hotel reservations, and car rentals for R&D, quality and shop.  Prepares itineraries and files for travelers.
  13. Researches and purchases office supplies staying within budget.
  14. Other  administrative duties as assigned.

Customer Service Agents

Browning is searching for full-time and part-time Customer Service Agents to join our team and provide top-notch service to our customers over the phone, via email and in the future, online chat. These positions require someone who is outgoing, organized, friendly and who enjoys interacting with consumers to answer questions, solve problems and provide education while maintaining our company’s reputation for high-quality service.    Flexible working hours for our part-time positions are available.  

The duties performed in this position require technical knowledge of Browning and Winchester firearms products. Avid hunting and shooting experience will provide a solid background allowing the agent to answer questions posed during a technical call. Additional on-the-job product training will be provided through printed literature, product classes and sales meetings.


  1. Learn and maintain updated technical knowledge of Browning and Winchester firearms including outdoor- style products.
  2. Provide information and instructions about these products to customers.
  3. Make product and service suggestions to meet the customer’s specific needs.
  4. Ensure all service calls from customers result in returned phone calls, follow through, and resolving issues.
  5. Adapt and use new technologies as needed.
  6. Learn all Browning and Winchester products in order to process customer questions and sales orders.
  7. Attend consumer/dealer shows as needed.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Browning does not have employment opportunities for sales representative positions. Sales representatives are employed by independent sales companies throughout the United States with whom we have sales and marketing agreements.
