A supreme bolt-action designed for maximum versatility, the X-Bolt 2 All-Purpose is a top-end rifle that performs in the woods, on the range, and makes a great passenger when rolling around the ranch or lease and coyote sprints from a weeded ditch row. With barrel lengths of 16-1/2 to 20 inches (caliber-dependent), the All-Purpose provides maneuverability in a compact, lightweight platform.
Naturally, the All-Purpose bears the X-Bolt name and is fitted with our accuracy-enhancing Vari-Tech composite stock. The comb height is adjustable to three positions to ensure exact eye-to-optic alignment, and the length of pull is easily adjusted via included solid, rattle-free spacers. Even the grip angle is adjustable by swapping between the included sporter and vertical grip modules, and you’ll love the rubber overmolding gripping surfaces. The Vari-Tech stock provides a custom shooting experience. A rifle that fits YOU, means YOU will be more accurate.
Like other X-Bolt 2 models, the All-Purpose sports a Browning legend in the short, fast, and smooth 60-degree bolt lift. The receiver has additional bolt guidance surface for smoother operation, the bolt is fluted for weight reduction and styling, and a tighter fit that eliminates wobble while upping strength provides increased shot-to-shot consistency.
The All-Purpose, from the 22 Creedmoor (16-1/2-inch barrel) to the 300 PRC (20-inch barrel), wear heavy sporter contour barrels with suppressor-ready 5/8”-24 muzzle threading with included thread protector. While you can run the All-Purpose without a suppressor and go super short and super light, you can add a suppressor and tote a standard-length rifle. The action is bedded, and the barrel is free floated for increased consistency. Yes, we thought of everything when we built the All-Purpose.
Another benefit when you drop greenbacks on an All-Purpose is the patent-pending adjustable DLX Trigger. The DLX Trigger is a multiple lever design that optimizes sear weight and trigger movement for consistent, repeatable breaks. Shooters hate trigger creep, and you’ll find none when you wrap your index-finger around the DLX and start to squeeze.
The Browning X-Bolt 2 All-Purpose also comes with extra magazine capacity in our proprietary Plus Magazine. The Plus is a single stack extended magazine that holds between five and six rounds depending on the cartridge.

The All-Purpose 22 Creedmoor has a 16-1/2-inch barrel, measures 38 inches long, a twist rate of 7 inches, and a total weight of 7 pounds 3 ounces. The 22 Creedmoor is a predator kingpin; a high-velocity, high-ballistic bullet that creates incredible energy. The cartridge has also emerged as an ideal choice for medium-sized big-game, producing remarkable accuracy between 400 and 700 yards.
The X-Bolt 2 All-Purpose 25 Creedmoor mirrors most of the specs of the 22 Creedmoor but with an 8-inch — not 7-inch — twist rate. The 25 Creedmoor is also a full 1-1/2-inch shorter, making it an ideal choice for small-framed shooters looking for a SAAMI-approved cartridge that bridges the gap between the 6mm and 6.5mm. Like the 22 Creedmoor, the 25 Creedmoor reduces recoil, enabling pinpoint accuracy and confident shooting. Shooters can adjust the Vari-Tech stock to their liking, get comfortable, and squeeze the DLX Trigger. When the All-Purpose goes boom, the shooter can stay in their optic and make quick follow-up shots if needed.
