X-Bolt 2 All Purpose

Overview

Compact, easy to maneuver, and hyper accurate, the X-Bolt 2 All Purpose is a ranch-style rifle with the performance-driven features made famous by the X-Bolt, all rolled into a revised action with additional bolt guidance for smoother bolt operation.

Featuring a short, heavy sporter contour barrel with 5/8"-24 suppressor-ready threading, the rifle is optimized for a suppressor, dense woods hunting, or keeping handy when checking fence lines. The action is bedded, and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy.

If you are looking for extra magazine capacity, the All Purpose delivers with the Plus Magazine system. It uses our proprietary Plus Magazine — a single stack, extended design — that holds 5 or 6 rounds depending on the cartridge. The Plus Magazine system retains the shoulder holding feature of the X-Bolt rotary magazine and uses the same center feed design — two features designed prevent damage to the tips of bullets in the magazine under recoil or when loading to the chamber. The Plus Magazine system has easy insertion and ejection with a convenient side mounted release button.

This great looking rifle features a barreled action that is treated to a non-reflective, matte blued finish. The spiral fluted bolt features an extended handle and ergonomic knob for confident bolt cycling. The DLX Trigger is a three-lever design that offers zero creep, zero take-up, and zero overtravel performance and comes preset from the factory at 3.5 pounds. (Adjustable down to 3.0 pounds.)

With the Vari-Tech stock, Browning has a configurable stock with adjustment that is on par with many chassis-style stocks. Adjustments can be easily made to the comb height to dial-in the alignment between your eye and optics. Length of pull is adjusted internally with spacers for a solid, rattle-free feel. Even the grip angle can be changed by switching between the sporter and vertical grip modules. On the subject of grip, rubber overmolding on the gripping surfaces provides added security in all conditions. When hunting, fractions of a second can determine success or failure. When fit to your dimensions, the Vari-Tech stock creates a rifle that feels like an extension of your body so you can get an accurate first shot off sooner and have faster, more accurate follow up shots. The 1-1/4" thick Inflex recoil pad tames felt recoil.
