Browning Adds New Calibers, Camo Options, And More
Published on Janurary 23, 2026 by Browning Staff
Staying at the top of the gun-making food chain isn’t an easy chore. While adding new rifle and shotgun models each year is part of Browning’s annual mantra, don’t overlook new calibers, camo patterns, and left-hand BAR MK 4 options.
For 2026, Browning offers five popular X-Bolt 2 platforms in new calibers of 22 and 25 Creedmoor in the X-Bolt 2 All Purpose, Speed, Speed SPR, Hunter Composite, and McMillan Pro LR SPR. The shortest barrel length of the five new-caliber X-Bolt 2 models is 16-½ inches for the All-Purpose with the longest measuring in at 22 inches in both the Speed and Hunter Composite guns. Shorter barrels ensure maneuverability, and with two suppressor-ready models, you can move through the woods without a rifle that looks like a telephone pole.
Why The 22 and 25 Creedmoor?
Target shooters and hunters love new caliber offerings, especially when those calibers are engineered for exceptional accuracy due to remarkable ballistics. The 22 and 25 Creedmoor calibers are fast and accurate, with reduced recoil compared to larger calibers.
The 22 Creedmoor is an excellent choice for target shooters, predator hunters, and small game hunters. If rifles are legal during your fall turkey season, the 22 Creedmoor in Browning’s All Purpose or Speed is an absolutely lethal combination.
If you spend your winter calling predators, the range between you and your target will fluctuate with each encounter. For this reason, the Speed SPR and Pro McMillan LR SPR chambered in 22 or 25 Creedmoor will put more pelts on the stretchers. Both rifles are suppressor-ready and hyper-accurate.
An excellent medium-size game caliber, the 25 Creedmoor in Browning’s Hunter Composite with fit-you-right Vari-Tech stock and textured gripping surfaces is a meat-and-potatoes bolt-action that will put meat in the freezer. If you’re planning surgical precision on pronghorn, whitetail, etc., you’ll appreciate the lower Picatinny Rail mount and raised stock design that ensures exact eye-to-optic alignment of the Pro McMillan LR SPR.
BAR MK 4 Left-Hand
Late in 2025, Browning breathed new life into its semi-auto BAR rifle line. These enhanced models feature advanced technology and ergonomic design, delivering precision and reliability for hunters and sport shooters alike. The BAR MK 4 boasts durable, lightweight construction, ensuring optimal handling and comfort during extended use. Its short-stroke gas piston system optimizes cycling efficiency and reduces recoil, improving accuracy. The rifle is available in multiple calibers, catering to a range of hunting needs. With a sleek appearance and customizable options, the BAR MK 4 offers both performance and aesthetic appeal, making it a compelling choice for enthusiasts seeking a versatile and dependable semi-automatic rifle.
For 2026, Browning, as it did with its X-Bolt 2 line of bolt-action rifles, offers the BAR MK 4 Left-Hand in left-handed models.

Browning Cynergy Camo
More waterfowlers are taking to the fields, rivers, swamps, and other wetlands with over/under models. The only problem with this, for many, is the toll extreme waterfowl hunts place on over/under models designed for upland pursuits and days of clay busting.
Enter Browning’s all-new Cynergy Camo, available in a dozen 3-1/2-inch chamber, 12-gauge models in barrel lengths of 28 and 30 inches. Designed to ensure shot-to-shot consistency, the 60/40 POI puts 60 percent of the shot pattern above your aiming point and 40 percent below it. A trio of knurled, extended choke tubes blends with the longer barrels to offer increased range and maximizes duck/goose killing power.
The camo composite stock with textured gripping surfaces comes to the shoulder quickly and ensures excellent cheek weld. Speaking of the shoulder, A long-travel Inflex recoil pad helps soak up felt recoil from hard hitting waterfowl loads. Sling swivel studs have also been added to the Cynergy Camo models, making it easier to carry your shotgun to your favorite super-secret hunting spot. If you’re looking to dominate the 2026-2027 waterfowl skies with an over/under, the Cynergy Camo is a clear choice.
Browning offers the Cynergy Camo in colors of:
- Browning Auric
- Browning Vintage Tan
- Mossy Oak Bottomland
- Realtree Max-7
