X-Bolt 2 Speed SPR HD

Overview

For several years, the Browning Speed rifle line has stood out as a leading choice among big game hunters. Not only did the Speed rifle break new ground with its straight-shooting features, but it was also cosmetically different than other bolt-action rifles with a barreled action protected by a durable Cerakote finish, camouflage on the lightweight composite stock, and a fluted, sporter weight precision barrel. The awesome appearance of the Speed rifle was more than ably backed-up by its tack driving performance.

Now, the X-Bolt 2 Speed SPR HD hunting rifle takes innovation to the next level with its stock design. The lightweight Vari-Tech composite stock features 3-way adjustment and a thicker Inflex recoil pad. Adjustments can be easily made to the comb height to dial-in the alignment between your eye and optics. Length of pull is adjusted internally with spacers for a solid, rattle-free feel. Even the grip angle can be changed by switching between the sporter and vertical grip modules. On the subject of grip, rubber overmolding on the gripping surfaces provides added security in all conditions. A bronze and gray camouflage finish is hand-applied to the stock. The colors of this versatile pattern blend in to a variety of environments and enhance the visual appeal of the stock.

The Cerakote Smoked Bronze finish applied to the revamped action and barrel not only protects the metal but also offers a striking contrast that surpasses conventional bluing or stainless steel.

A shorter fluted sporter contour barrel is four inches shorter than standard lengths for use with a suppressor. It's belled muzzle is threaded 5/8"-24 to accept the included radial muzzle brake, thread protector cap, or an aftermarket muzzle device. The action is bedded and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy.

The DLX Trigger is a three-lever design that offers zero creep, zero take-up, and zero overtravel performance and comes preset from the factory at 3.5 pounds.

When hunting, fractions of a second can determine success or failure. When fit to your dimensions, the Vari-Tech stock creates a rifle that feels like an extension of your body so you can get an accurate first shot off sooner and have faster, more accurate follow up shots.
