Browning Pro Staff shooters Foster and Matt Bartholow brought home a number of awards from the 2021 Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) Grand American Trap Shoot recently held in Sparta, IL. The Grand American is the preeminent trapshooting event in the world, drawing shooters from around the globe to compete.

Younger brother, Matt, returned to “The Grand” with a vengeance following a year away. He claimed victory in seven events, including being crowned World Champion in the coveted ATA World Doubles Championship that he won in a high-pressure shoot-out. In addition to his wins, Matt finished as runner-up in three events and placed third in five events.

Foster also had a number of fine showings, including a third place finish just behind Matt in the ATA World Doubles Championship.

The brothers also took a victory in the National Team Race as members of Team SD.

The Bartholow Brothers both compete using Browning Citori shotguns. Matt prefers the Citori XT model in various configurations to suit different events. Foster also shoots the Citori XT for most events, but prefers his time-tested Citori Plus for doubles. According to Foster, “The Browning Citori is a time-tested workhorse. Its out-of-the-box fit and balance, coupled with its reliable performance, make my job easy. Instead of worrying if my gun is going to go bang every time, I can devote all my energy and focus on breaking the target.”

Gentlemen, congratulations on a very successful 2021 ATA Grand American. Your skill, dedication and successes make you the ideal ambassadors for both the Browning brand and the shooting sports.
