Browning Wishes Matt Bartholow the Best of Luck as he Chases Down his Sixth World Doubles Championship at the Grand American

Published on July 29, 2026    by Browning Staff

The 127th Grand American World Trapshooting Championships will be held between July 29 and August 8, 2026. Globally, this historic event ranks among the most prestigious shooting competitions, attracting thousands of participants and spectators to the World Shooting Complex in Sparta, Illinois.

Browning would like to extend our best wishes to Browning Pro Staff shooters Matt and Foster Bartholow. Matt is a five-time defending ATA World Doubles Grand American Champion, making him the best Doubles trap shooter in the world. In 2025, when Matt captured his fifth consecutive title, he became the first person to reach this historic achievement.

“This one meant a lot,” Bartholow said after the event. “I’m always honored to compete, but to stand here as the ATA World Doubles Champion for a fifth time is truly humbling.” Knowing Matt the way we do, we know he’s headed to the Grand with a single goal: Win his sixth.

Matt's brother Foster also has his share of Grand American accolades, with numerous championship and top three finishes under his belt. A trap shooting singles kingpin, Foster is looking to make plenty of noise during the week-plus-long event.

We would like to wish Matt and Foster Bartholow, and all Browning shooters taking part in this time-honored event, the best of luck.
