Overview

2026 commemorates 250 years since the United States of America announced its independence and became a beacon of freedom to the world. It is only fitting that Browning honors this event with a pistol design that is both an American icon and made in America as well.

The 1911-380 Medallion Pro High Grade is a fine example of the legendary John M. Browning designed 1911 chambered in 45 ACP. As the name implies, the Medallion Pro 250 High Grade is chambered in 380 Auto, a caliber also of Mr. Browning's invention, and is proportionally scaled down to about 85% of the size of the original to accommodate the smaller cartridge.

Unlike most of the modern "pocket pistols" that chamber the snappy 380 ACP cartridge, the 1911-380 is slightly larger to better manage recoil for improved control that makes follow-up shots faster and more accurate. The magazine holds 8-rounds to keep the grip compact, yet long and wide enough to allow the shooting hand full purchase for added comfort.

This beautiful pistol is built on a rugged composite frame that uses an aluminum subframe and slide rails for added durability. The corrosion resistant stainless steel slide is finished with polished side flats and the curved sight plane has a contrasting matte finish to limit glare. A bald eagle is engraved on the slide, along with "250 Years of Freedom." On the grips, the eagle theme is continued with a laser-engraved wing adorning the white, pearl-colored grip.

While pretty to look at, this pistol is also perfect for practice and plinking. It operates using the tilting barrel, single-action design just as its forebears. Featuring enhanced controls, this 1911-380 is ready for accurate, functional shooting and easy carry. The steel three-dot combat sights, dovetailed into the slide, are a fine finishing touch to this limited edition, commemorative pistol.
