National Shooting Sports Month

August is National Shooting Sports month and with fall hunting season just around the bend, there isn’t a better time to get to your local range to hone your skills and make sure that your firearms are in top shape after a summer of target and varmint shooting.

Browning is honored to promote National Shooting Sports Month in partnership with the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF). Created to encourage participation in many shooting sports genres and emphasize firearms safety, this nationwide celebration will continue through the month of August. We agree with the NSSF that August is the perfect time to do some shooting, and to invite friends and acquaintances who are new to the hunting/shooting sports. Bringing along a friend or relative the next time you head out and introduce — or reintroduce — them to the fun and challenge of the target shooting or hunting. One trip could be all it takes to spark a lifetime interest.

Don’t let another weekend slip by, participating in National Shooting Sports Month is as easy as making sure that your rifle is zeroed with new ammunition for deer season. You can dust off an old gun you haven’t shot for a while and rediscover why it’s one of your favorites. Try a new target sport to broaden your skills. While you’re at it, take the +ONE Pledge and introduce someone new to the lifetime of entertainment shooting sports provide. #LetsGoShooting!
