Customer Service Agent

Browning is searching for a full-time Customer Service Agent.  This position requires the candidate to be very polite, dependable and self-motivated.  The qualified candidates must have excellent phone skills including the ability to “listen” to what the customer is saying.  In addition, Browning is looking for candidates that have the ability to know and adapt to some of the newest technologies including email correspondence and chat.  

They will be performing duties that require a technical knowledge of Browning and Winchester products.  Hunting and shooting experience is a definite plus. The agent must have a great desire to learn as much as possible about Browning and Winchester through catalogs, product classes and sales meetings. 

The candidates will need to be flexible, open-minded and have a “team player” attitude. The candidates will be required to attend trade shows as needed and engage the customers in conversation about the Browning and Winchester products. 

Excellent computer skills in MS Office Suite are required. Knowledge of Oracle is a definite plus.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  1. Provide technical support and customer service to consumers.
  2. Have the ability to adapt and use new technologies as needed.
  3. Answer e-mail in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Learn all Browning and Winchester products in order to process consumer questions and sales orders.
  5. Attend consumer/dealer shows as needed.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCY SKILLS AND ABILITIES INCLUDE:

The ability to think:  This position requires the ability to exercise discretion, judgment, and thought.  Employees in these jobs must apply skills and knowledge to different factual situations, and gather/analyze facts, develop options and solutions, and/or create new ways of viewing situations or approaching issues.

The ability to handle stress:   Ability to work under stressful conditions on a regular or continuous basis.  Example:  operate in unpredictable situations; work under deadlines, handle customer complaints or emergencies.  

Interpersonal Skills: Interacts confidently, and can read the situations. Empathetic and can evaluate likely reactions. Collaborative

Browning/Winchester Repeating Arms does not have employment opportunities for sales representative positions. Sales representatives are employed by independent sales companies throughout the United States with whom we have sales and marketing agreements.
