Safes Product Manager

Browning located in scenic Mountain Green, Utah is searching for a Gun Safe Product Manager.  The ideal candidate for this position would thrive in a competitive fast paced environment where they would have the opportunity to directly impact company performance. They must have proven product development experience, a strong desire to make a difference and be a positive role model. 

This position is a key position in our Outdoors Product Division.  The right candidate needs be able to demonstrate creativity, sound business acumen, logical process oriented decision making and excellent written/oral communications skills to energize partners in all stages of the safe distribution process.   Interpersonal and presentation skills are very important.  

The right candidate needs to have a strong understanding of marketing principles to strategically increase revenue of Browning’s safe product line.  They will have the opportunity to build on a proven track record of new product development to continue Browning’s position of being the industry leader in innovation.

The right candidate needs to be able to utilize strong analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate and direct the profitability of safe promotional programs and pricing structures.  They need to be able to function in unpredictable situations, and perform well under stressful deadlines.  

The right candidate needs to be able to work independently, make decisions under pressure and handle unique and sometime difficult situations.  Some travel may be required as part of the job responsibilities.

Outdoor Products Administrative Assistant

Browning located in scenic Mountain Green, Utah is searching for an Administrative Assistant in the Outdoor Products Division.  The ideal candidate for this position would thrive in a competitive fast paced environment where they would have the opportunity to support a growing and dynamic product line by effectively handling multiple administrative duties.

This position will support the Browning Clothing Product Manager by performing administrative duties related to the apparels business.  The position requires MS Office skills including advanced level Excel proficiency working with large data sets.  Applicant must possess excellent communication skills and have a desire to learn.

The applicant must be able to handle differing tasks and multiple deadlines and be able to prioritize among workload duties.  The applicant should be detail oriented and enjoy the challenge of meeting deadlines consistently during the year.  

Experience with an Enterprise software system like Oracle is a definite plus.  Applicant must be able to exercise discretion and judgment, be responsive to customer requests and have a courteous and professional demeanor.

Paralegal

Browning, the legendary manufacturer of sporting firearms, hunting accessories, apparel and other related products is seeking a highly motivated Paralegal to join our team.   Located a short 40 miles NE of Salt Lake City and accessible from all areas of the Wasatch Front; the scenic beauty and serenity of the area creates an ideal work setting.

Job Summary

This position reports to the General Counsel for Browning.  This position will support regulatory compliance efforts in various areas of firearms control, including ITAR and regulations enforced by ATF.  This position will also support litigation matters in the areas of products liability, intellectual property, and other general litigation in order to minimize Company exposure as well as participate in contract creation/proposals.  A combination of education, training and work experience of 7-10 years is required; and the person selected will need to become well versed quickly regarding Company and litigation procedures.  An ability to manage regulatory filings, analyze facts and evidence, in addition to performing ing basic legal research will be very important.

The Essential Job Duties for this position are as follows:

  • Supervise regulatory compliance efforts.
  • Review, analyze, negotiate, and draft Company contracts.
  • Implement new procedures company-wide to comply with new or changed legislation.
  • Perform legal research of case law and legislation.
  • Respond to discovery in litigation matters, including gathering information and documents responsive to discovery requests.
  • Maintain and organize trademark and litigation files.
  • Administer usage and registration of trademarks.
  • Participate as a team member in corporate-wide Compliance Audits.
  • Draft and maintain Company minutes, by-laws, etc. and provide other Company administration responsibilities as necessary.
  • Police counterfeit products and take necessary action to terminate improper sales, including  initiating informal and formal litigation with companies and individuals selling products.
  • Some travel, including international destinations is required. 
  • Must possess or qualify for a United States Passport and be a US Citizen. 

Qualifications include:

  • Paralegal certification and 5ive (5) to seven (7) years of Paralegal experience.  Experience in contracts, litigation and extensive research is also required.

The ideal candidate for this position will need to be detail-oriented and be able to quickly identify inconsistencies and mistakes.

The ideal candidate needs to be able to prioritize tasks and manage the time needed for the position, and be able to seek/identify ways to improve processes/solve problems.
