Browning Employee Captains 2013 ATA All-American Team

Release Date: 1/28/2013

2013 ATA All-American Teams Chosen.

Browning's own Linda Gibson earns captains spot with plenty of great shooting.

We are always telling how Browning employees are a cut above the rest in the way they collectively have a stake in hunting and shooting and how our individual employees are deeply involved in hunting and shooting activities. Linda Gibson is a great example of this.

1,479 points. We are pleased to offer our congratulations to Linda who was recently named Captain of the 2013 Lady II First Team ATA All-American. The team captain title is awarded to the highest point receiver of each of the All-American teams. Linda was high scorer with 1,479 points. This achievement earned her the Captain position on the team. She is the first person from Utah to ever be captain of any ATA All-American Team. She explains  "I shoot a Browning of course . . . XT Trap Combo, top single."

Customer service is her other game. Linda is one of our Customer Service Agents working out of our Morgan, Utah headquarters. If you have ever called the service department in Morgan, Utah with a trap shooting question you may have already spoken to her without knowing her impressive credentials.  She uses all the same Browning gear you can and she can talk trap shooting all day. She seriously knows her stuff. Browning prides itself on having a team of customer service agents who are above the cut in their knowledge and involvement in the hunting and shooting sports.

Utah's best. The Lady II team category is for women over the age of 55. Linda was one of 4 Utah shooters and the only female. The three other Utahns named were Sean Hawley (1,533 points) in the Men’s First Team; Sharred Oaks (1,208 points) in the Sub-Junior First Team; and Gene Majers (398 points) in the Senior Vet Second Team.

There were nine selected from the state of Missouri and 14 were selected from the state of Illinois. Linda is from right here in Utah. We are proud to have Linda represent Browning and herself, personally, on this elite shooting team.

The photo above and right shows Linda with her Citori XT Trap and her leather ammo and gear bag tooled with the words "Linda Gibson, All-American."

The photo below shows her personalized Citori XT Trap Combo arranged using the single top barrel of her barrel set -- a configuration that she often shoots.

Her accomplishment was recently announced in Trap & Field Magazine in their 2013 ATA All-American issue.
