ADJUSTABLE COMB
Correct eye-to-scope alignment is critical as it reduces parallax error and let's you get on target faster.
With optics getting larger and many shooters using taller Picatinny-style optics rails, this critical measurement can be difficult to achieve on a rifle stock with a straight, non-adjustable comb and often requires a cheek pad or pad to achieve alignment.
The Vari-Tech stock features a rock-solid comb with 1" of height adjustment. It is easy to adjust and puts you in perfect alignment with your optics.
ADJUSTABLE LENGTH OF PULL
People come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The Vari-Tech stock was developed to optimize the interface between the rifle and every shooter with a level of adjustment that is on par with a chassis -style target stock.
Length of pull comes from the factory at 13-5/8". It is easily adjustable in 1/4" increments using the four included spacers, giving you an adjustment range of 1" (13-1/8" to 14-1/8") from the box. If you need an even shorter length of pull, a shorter 1" thick recoil pad can be ordered to replace the 1-1/4" thick pad.
Rather than fitting between the recoil pad and the stock, the adjustment spacers fit inside the stock for improved appearance.
INTERCHANGEABLE GRIP MODULES
Grip angle is also a factor in accuracy as it relates to comfort, finger reach to the trigger, and even speed to the trigger.
Two grip modules are available for the Vari-Tech stock: Sporter and Vertical. X-Bolt 2 hunting rifles ship with the curved, sporter style grip and include the vertical grip in the box. X-Bolt 2 long range rifles ship with the vertical grip installed and include the sporter style grip in the box. Target models only include the vertical grip.
The grip modules are securely attached to the stock and can be changed in a matter of minutes.
RUBBER OVERMOLDING
Rubber overmolding on the grip and along the fore-end make a secure hold on the rifle possible in tough weather conditions or with sweaty hands.
FREE-FLOATING BARREL
The action is bedded at the front and rear action screws and recoil lug for a true free-floating barrel.
INFLEX RECOIL PAD
A soft Inflex recoil pad features internal directional ribs that move the comb down and away from the cheek to increase shooting comfort.
Rifles with the Vari-Tech stock are fitted with a thicker, 1-1/4" thick pad for an even greater reduction in felt recoil. A 1" thick pad is also available to reduce length of pull.
COMPOSITE CONSTRUCTION
The Vari-Tech stock is made from a durable composite material that is stiff, weather resistant, and extremely stable.
ADD ACCESSORIES
If you want to add a Picatinny rail or ARCA/Swiss rail to your rifle, the Vari-Tech stock has additional mounting holes. Simply drill the holes, add a knurled nut, and install your accessories.
