It has been noted that you can use a field or hunting-style shotgun for shooting trap, skeet or sporting clays, but seldom would you use a sporting shotgun for hunting. There are fine peculiarities in a sporting-type shotgun that won't be found on hunting models. The Sporting shotguns in the Browning line make busting clay birds much easier. Here are some reasons why, particularly with the Cynergy Sporting. First, it has ventilated top and side ribs which allow easier swinging on targets. The Vector Pro lengthened forcing cones allows the shot to spread and economize as it travels down the barrel to the choke constriction. Lengthened forcing cones also prevent each pellet from becoming flattened or deformed. A deformed pellet will not fly straight and serious target shooters cannot afford any stray pellets.Back-boring a barrel increases bore diameter to its maximum specification, reducing friction between the shot cup and the barrel to propel the shot pellets to a higher velocity/ Back-boring also helps to reduce the recoil into your shoulderl. Removable choke tubes are critical to any serious shooter. They can be flush or extended. Extended tubes allow the shot to focus, spread and center, prior to leaving the muzzle. Adjustable combs for height, cast-on and cast-off also serve to tailor the gun to the shooter's individual specs. Highly visible, light-gathering sights and beads along wide, flat ribs contribute to picking up the bird when split seconds count.
If you have ever watched a pro archery competitor and noticed his equipment attached to his bow, it is the same with guns designed for shooting sporting clays, trap and skeet. Sometimes, the more personalized gear you have attached serves to help the concentration and confidence; and that can make all the difference.

THE CYNERGY TAKES LOW-PROFILE TO ITS LOWEST LEVELS EVER.
Without a doubt, the Browning Cynergy began as the most technologically advanced over and under shotgun available. It has been called "revolutionary." And when you shoot one it could very well transform your shooting abilities.
Even on the rack, a Browning Cynergy sets itself apart from other over and under shotguns. Open the breech and you’ll know why. The low-profile Cynergy is a new experience in over and under shotguns with performance, recoil control, speed and reliability that you must shoot to fully appreciate.
REVERSE STRIKER MECHANICAL TRIGGER
The Cynergy features the innovative Reverse Striker ignition system; a striker-based, mechanical trigger that offers the benefits of a crisp feel,
reduced locktime and less overtravel than other over and under shotguns. Because inertia is not needed for the hammers to set, the design eliminates the possibility of the second barrel not firing. Cynergy target models are equipped with the Triple Trigger™ System, allowing you to adjust the length of pull and switch between styles of trigger shoes: Wide checkered, narrow smooth or wide smooth canted.
INFLEX TECHNOLOGY RECOIL PAD
The Inflex Technology recoil pad system provides long travel recoil reduction for a massive 25% decrease in felt recoil on 12 gauge guns and makes recoil virtually non-existent on small gauge guns. A slick Parylene coating prevents the pad from snagging on clothing and allows the recoil pad to remain soft. Three pad lengths are available in ½" increments to provide length of pull adjustment to fit a wide variety of shooters. A ¼" spacer is included for customizing. See page 29 for accessories. (Inflex Technology pad not available on Cynergy Classics.)
The strong MonoLock Hinge design is the engineering behind the Cynergy’s low profile receiver. The MonoLock Hinge is the integration of the monobloc and the hinge, and has up to 300% more surface area to pivot on than traditional trunnion-style hinges. Rectangular locking pins provide extra strength and feature a “Wear-In Relief” that keeps the action tight. Jeweling adds a beautiful appearance, smoother function and
VECTOR PRO™ LENGTHENED FORCING CONES ON 12 AND 20 GAUGE CYNERGY SHOTGUNS
We were the first manufacturer to recognize the performance advantages of a back-bored barrel and to make it a standard feature on our shotguns. Now we have gone a step further with our Vector Pro lengthened forcing cone. Longer, tapered Vector Pro dimensions minimize shot deformation and maximize pattern uniformity, consistency and density. Back-boring increases bore diameter specifications and decreases friction between the shot cup and the bore to maximize shot pellet velocity and to reduce felt recoil. Reducing constriction from the forcing cone on the shot column results in fewer deformed pellets for more uniform patterns, and keeps more pellets in the central part of the pattern where they’re needed to bag more upland birds, waterfowl and clay targets. A larger bore diameter can let gases slip by the shot cup, resulting in both reduced pellet velocity and blown patterns. A smaller bore diameter means the forcing cone can deform pellets, leading to flyers and poor ballistic performance. Our back-bore specifications represent the ideal bore dimensions.
Impact Ejectors are aided by the punch of a secondary striker spring for more positive, reliable ejection of fired hulls from the chambers. Unfired shells are elevated for easy removal.
Of course, all Cynergy shotguns feature the same fit, finish and quality that makes Browning shotguns so sought after. Whatever your passion, there is a Cynergy to suit your every need.
