Description:

Balance. Form. Excellence. The new Citori 725 is the evolution of John M. Browning’s legendary B25 Superposed, now with the modern performance advantage of a Low-Profile receiver. The new 725 receiver is significantly lower than other Citori 12 gauge receivers, yet the 725 shares the renowned durability of generations of Citori over and unders with the same rugged full-width hinge pin and tapered locking bolt design.

With a 725, you get the "one with the gun" feeling you want, with the long lasting durability you expect from a Browning over and under. And the features don't stop there. The 725 showcases an all-new Mechanical Trigger (FireLite) that offers unmatched feel and lighter pull weights than ever before. Inflex Technology has also been added to make shooting more comfortable. And the new Invector-DS choke system moves to a new level of performance. Experience the benefits these improvements can do for your shooting with a new Citori 725.

Unique to the 725 Field model:

  • Signature 725 rounded fore arm with subtle palm rest is both comfortable and stylish
  • Ivory front and mid-bead sights for excellent target acquisition.
  • Accented high relief Engraving on the receiver for a traditional elegant look
  • Three Invector-DS extend choke tubes (Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder).
  • Beautiful Grade II/III Walnut.

Reciever

  • The Low-Profile steel receiver of the Citori 725 is a triumph of modern design without sacrificing traditional strength, keeping the full-hinge pin and tapered locking bolt design that makes a Citori superior to weaker trunnion designs.
  • The silver nitride finish on the receiver is as tough as it is beautiful.

Barrel

  • Ventilated top rib provides a horizontal sighting plane, reduced heat mirage, and a classic sporting look.
  • Vector Pro lengthened forcing cones provide improved shot patterns and superior durability, even with steel shot.
  • Invector-DS choke tubes are longer than traditional chokes, allowing for a consistent barrel taper at the muzzle. The double seal keeps fouling gasses out of the threads between the choke tube and the barrel.

Action

  • The Fire Lite Mechanical Trigger system design features reduced take up, a crip break, and shorter overtravel, resulting in a high performance trigger that doesn't require intertia to reset.
  • Hammer ejectors quickly and reliably clear the chambers for quick reloading.
  • Top-tang barrel selector/safety allow you to verify the status of the gun without unshouldering it.

Stock

  • Close radius pistol grip and palm swell with detailed checkering and classic lines for beauty without sacrificing function.
  • Inflex recoil pad absorbs and deflects recoil away from the shooter's cheek, allowing you to shoot comfortably for longer periods of time.

Citori. A perfect blend of beauty and performance.
The Citori is more than a shotgun, it is the quintessential representative of the quality of the Browning brand. Wood-to-metal fit is paramount on the Citori and with tight, consistent junctions it doesn’t disappoint. Action components are machined to exacting tolerances, heat-treated for greater strength and fitted using the traditional lampblack-and-file method to ensure the precise fit of critical components prior to being assembled to the action. It is this extreme level of craftsmanship that leads to the dependable function, impeccable looks, championship performance and respect from both Citori owners and the competition alike.

We challenge you to take any Citori from the rack and you’ll see the same high level of fit and finish on every gun. Open and close the action and throw it to your shoulder. Sight down the barrels. Only then will you fully understand why the Citori has gained its reputation as the finest over and under shotgun available in the world.

Hammers and Hammer Ejectors
Hammers are powered by powerful coil-type mainsprings for positive primer ignition. The convenient barrel selector allows the shooter to choose which barrel fires on the first pull of the single trigger, and the second pull fires the remaining barrel. Ejectors are activated by a sharp hammer blow for more positive ejection than the push imparted by competitors’ ejectors. The automatic ejectors eject fired shells when the breech is opened and elevate unfired shells for easy removal.

Citori Locking BoltLocking Bolt and Hinge Pin
The Citori utilizes a transverse-mounted, full-width tapered locking bolt. The tapered locking bolt engages a full-width tapered recess in the rear barrel lugs. The taper allows the bolt to seat deeper over the years. The hinge pin extends from one side of the receiver to the other for maximum strength. It’s the reason people say a Citori wears in, not out.

Chrome Chambers
All Citori shotguns feature chrome-plated chambers that resist the toll thousands of shells can take on lesser quality guns. Corrosion resistance is also greatly improved.

Triple Trigger SystemTriple Trigger System
All Sporting Clays, XT and XS Series Citori shotguns come equipped with the Triple Trigger™ system, which allows the shooter to fine tune the length of pull and switch between a wide checkered, a narrow smooth and a wide smooth canted trigger shoe.

Back-Bored Barrels
12 and 20 gauge Citori shotguns feature Back-Bored Technology.

Choke Tubes
12 and 20 gauge Citori shotguns include the interchangeable Invector-Plus™ choke tube system. 28 gauge and .410 bore Citori shotguns include the Standard Invector™ system.
