Browning takes hunting knives to the next level with the Extreme Mountain Hunters designed by Russ Kommer. They are designed to perform in extreme climates — from Alaskan tundra to New Mexico deserts — for hunters who push themselves and their gear to the edge. The handles provide a secure grip with comfortable, rounded edges and are easy to clean after dressing game. Four models include two different sized drop point blades, one with a modified drop point and one with a deep belly, semi-skinner shape. Each blade is tough Sandvik® 12C27 stainless steel with a Rockwell hardness of 58c-59c for the edge-holding ability hunters demand. Each knife comes complete with a lightweight, injection molded sheath that complements the knives’ rugged, no-nonsense construction.
In this video, Russ details exactly why he designed these very unique, lightweight knives. These are working knives and Russ makes sure the design does what is promised and the materials can take the wear and tear of tough, extreme hunting conditions.
