Most non-Gore windproof fabrics are either not breathable, or only marginally so. In contrast, Gore WindStopper® fleece is both totally windproof and very breathable. Tests show that it is virtually as breathable as fleece without the Gore WindStopper membrane. The fabric is a three-part laminate — the breathable/windproof Gore membrane is sandwiched between an outer layer of insulative microfleece and a soft, inner layer of moisture-moving mesh. Gore WindStopper garments can be used next to the skin, as a mid-layer under a shell, or as an outer layer in the right conditions. Browning and Gore-Tex fabrics are names you can trust to keep you warm and dry outdoors.
