Layers of Insulation

The most important factor in fire protection is the total thickness of the insulation in the safe. More insulation means more protection from fire. Browning ProSteel safes use 1/2" thick gypsum panels, so the number of layers multiplied by 1/2" shows the total insulation thickness in inches.
