The newest member of the Browning Pro Staff Team.
Brody is a rising star on the clay target scene, winning the 2010 North American Grand Prix FITASC event at Claythorne Lodge. Brody shoots a Browning Citori for clay targets and a Silver in the blind. A product of the popular SCTP development program, Brody and his Browning shotguns will be in the winner’s circle for years to come.
Brody started shooting when he was in the 6th grade. Like many clay target shooters, he started out shooting trap and then graduated to skeet. Brody shot sporting clays for the first time when he was about 13 or 14 and enjoyed it so much that it quickly became his favored discipline. He's now a major player in the FITASC ranks. The thing Brody enjoys most about shooting and traveling is meeting people and making great shooting friendships.
Brody is a product of the very popular SCTP development program. He was a member of the 2004 SCTP National Championship Team, posting his first big national win San Antonio. Brody has been busy building on that first success, and is now a five-time All- American and three-time FITASC National Junior Champion. He has also posted a championship win at the 2009 Nebraska State meet and was a Captain for the 2009 FITASC Team USA.
Brody grew up in a small town in central Nebraska where cattle and corn are the biggest deals around. He's going to school at Fort Hays State University and majoring in technical engineering. Being a Browning country boy at heart, Brody loves to hunt, fish and just be outdoors. His favorite outdoor activity is waterfowl hunting and he says he lives to shoot ducks and geese. Brody's folks live on a lake where they can fish and hunt all the time.
Brody likes Brownings for their dependability. His favorite hunting shotgun is a Browning Silver®, and he says while he hasn't cleaned it in a year and a half, his Silver still shoots just like the day he took it out of the box. Brody wants everyone to know that he's shot a Browning shotgun since day one, and it's the only gun he's ever used.
There is a great blog story on Brody's win at the 2010 FITASC GP Championship in Kansas last June written by Jason on the InternationalSportingClays.com Website.
