Browning Expands Knife Line-up for 2010.
Morgan, UT — Browning continues to expand its diverse line of knives for the avid outdoorsman and demanding hunter with the addition of six new series being added for 2010. New Hard Core Hunter Series, Lil’ Bit Knives, Packer Series, Obsession Series, Browning 111 Folding Knives and Backtrack Folders complete the new additions.
Hard Core Hunter Combos. Browning’s new Hard Core Hunter Combos were designed by Russ Kommer that give hunters the ultimate three piece hunting set with two size fixed blade knives and a saw. The 4 3/4" hand saw features a comfortable handle design that minimizes hand fatigue. The push/pull design of the high carbon steel blade makes fast work of sawing wood or dressing game. The larger knife has a 3 1/2" drop point main blade. The unique handle shape with Dura-Touch® Armor Coating gives complete comfort and control. The small caping knife offers the precision for delicate field chore with its 2 3/8" blade. All blades are German X50CrMoV15 steel. A nylon sheath is supplied that easily fits all three pieces. Model 111 Folding Knives. Browning’s new Model 111 Folding Knives are also designed by Russ Kommer feature grooved handles that are constructed from rugged G-10 or walnut that are contoured for a comfortable grip. The 3 1/4" blades are made of Sandvik® 12C27 stainless steel. The ultra-thin construction makes these knives slide easily into a pocket without adding excess bulk. Packer Series Knives. Designed by Russ Kommer, Browning’s new Packer Series fixed blade knives were born on the rugged frontier of Alaska. The unique handle design and modified drop point blade are designed to maximize the blade cut to reduce wrist fatigue. The Packer series comes in three different blade designs: The multi-use modified drop point, the big belly semi-skinner and a modified drop point with guthook. Browning logo models on bolsters feature genuine stag handles and a beautiful leather sheath. Blades are made of Sandvik® 12C27 stainless steel in 2 7/8” or 3 1/8” lengths. Browning will offer Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation versions with their logo laser engraved on the bolsters and handles made with highly grained burl wood. Obession Series Knives. Obsession folding lockback knives have been carefully designed to give hunters the perfect tool for dressing and skinning duties. The main blade is a drop-point design and twin-blade models include the best guthook blade ever. Not only does the guthook efficiently open body cavities without disturbing the rumen, the back of the blade helps provide secure grip. Handles are stainless steel with G-10 or wood inserts. Blades are Sandvik® 12C27 stainless steel with 3 1/4" main blade lengths. A nylon sheath is included with two blade models and pocket clip comes with single blade models. Lil’ Bit Knives. New Lil’Bit Series Knives are tried and true drop point design with Swedish Sandvik® 12C27 stainless steel blades to ensure superior edge holding ability. Four Lil’ Bit fixed blade and two folding models are available with genuine stag or desert ironwood handles. Fixed blade models are offered in 2 3/4" or 3 1/4" blades with folding models available in a 2 7/8" blade. All of the Lil’ Bit knives come with a top grain leather tie and sheath. Backtrack Folders. Browning’s Backtrack Folders feature a versatile 7CR stainless steel clip point 3” blade. Stainless steel handles are engraved with the tracks of popular game animals. The ultra-thin construction makes them fit easily in a pocket. Suggested Retail, $19.95.
