Browning Introduces New Models to Knife Line-up for 2009.
Morgan, Utah – Browning continues to expand its diverse line of knives for 2009 that cover all types of categories that include collector knives, limited edition knives, hunting and fishing models as well as small pocket knives.
Whitetail Legacy Limited Edition Knife. The special Whitetail Legacy Limited Edition Knife honors the whitetail deer and will make an excellent gift to the dedicated hunter who pursues them. The handsome handles are shaped from exquisite mesquite burl wood and feature finger choils (grooves) for a more secure feel. The highly polished, hollow ground 3 3/4" blade is carefully crafted from Swedish Sandvik® steel with a tapered tang and dovetailed bolsters. A beautiful whitetail deer lithograph is included that is suitable for framing. A felt-lined, hand-crafted walnut presentation box is supplied. Only 3,000 of the fixed blade Whitetail Legacy Limited Editions will be made. Suggested Retail, $249.95.
Whitetail Legacy Knives. Browning will also offer the Whitetail Legacy Knives to give hunters the choice of a fixed blade or folder version that honors the most popular deer in North America and can be relied on to complete a myriad of outdoor chores. The new Whitetail Fixed Blade Legacy knife has a 3 1/4" blade made of Swedish Sandvik® 12C27 stainless steel that is carefully hollow ground. The Whitetail Legacy Folder model features a 3 3/4" folding locking liner design with blade made of 440C stainless steel. Both models have unique mesquite burl wood handles. Supplied with a top-grain deluxe leather sheath fixed blade and folder, Suggested Retail $99.95.
Silvertip Folder Series Knives. The new Browning Silvertip Folder Series Knives are compact, lightweight and built tough featuring carbon fiber or G-10 handles with blades of 440-C stainless steel. The unique blade design has an anti-skid thumb ramp and a hollow ground blade with a big belly that can be used in the field or as an everyday carry knife. Adorned with anodized colored bolsters, these are handsome locking liner knives also feature a belt clip and thumbstud. New Silvertip G-10 Folder Suggested Retail, $89.95. Micarta Big Game Series Knives. Browning’s new Micarta Big Game knives feature an extreme drop point and big belly hollow ground blades that were designed to eliminate the fatigue in hands and lower arms when skinning large big game animals such as elk and moose. The guthook design funnels the skin into the cutting edge without bunching up the hide and will make field dressing large animals without puncturing the paunch, a breeze. The maintenance free, mirror polished 440-C stainless steel blades are 3 3/4" in length. The handles feature four finger choils for safety and comfort with rugged Micarta handle material for durability and tapered tangs for balance. The high-quality leather sheath features a uniquely simple lock that helps prevent the knife from falling out of the sheath. Escalade Folders. Browning will add two new folding models to its Escalade Series Knives for 2009. The new Escalade Large Folding Skinner will feature a handle made of Brown Box Elder Burl wood. The 2 1/2’ folding blade is made of 440-C stainless steel. A pocket clip is also featured, Suggested Retail, $89.95. The Escalade Medium Folding Skinner has a handle made with Red/Black Box Elder Burl with 2 1/2" medium folding blade design, Suggested Retail, $79.95. Both models are supplied with a heavy duty top-grain leather sheath.
