Browning Expands Knife Line-Up For 2004.
MORGAN, UTAH—Browning again continues to lead in innovation and design for 2004 with the addition of eight new series of knives to its diverse line of knives for the serious sportsman and collectors. Two new Hunting Heritage Limited Edition models have also been added for 2004.
Eclipse Series Knives. This new series includes three folding liner lock knives with an innovative, contemporary design. Unique handles are shaped from durable aircraft-grade aluminum in a red, white or blue handle finish with pocket clip. The 3 ½" blades are scratch-resistant coated and are laser engraved with John M. Browning's signature. Blades are 440-C type steel. Suggested Retail, 120.00.
Wind River Series Knives. The new Wind River Series features rubberized, aircraft-grade aluminum handles for a better grip and lighter weight with a durable Mossy Oak® Break-Up™ camo finish. This new series has scratch-resistant coated blades with laser engraved Browning logo. The two skinning versions feature full-tang 440-C type stainless steel construction with 3 ½" blades. The Wind River Axe features a tough 440-B type blade with Buck Mark logo cutout in a modern efficient styling. A convenient folding lockback knife features a 3 ½" 440-C type blade with pocket clip. All four models will be supplied with durable Ballistic Cloth™ sheaths in Mossy Oak® Break-Up™ camo. Wind River knives Suggested Retail, $99.95, Wind River Axe, $149.95.
White River Series Knives. Browning's new White River series knives include all the models and features found on the Wind River series other than the handles are made of rugged, G-10 for a better grip and lighter weight. Three fillet versions will also be offered with 4 ½", 6 ¼" or 7 ¼" blade lengths. Black Ballistic Cloth sheaths with embroidered Buckmark logo are supplied.
Field Duty X-Treme Knives. Browning's new Field Duty X-Treme knives are durable, heavy duty fixed-blade knives designed for tough chores. The 1095 high carbon alloy fixed steel blades measure 58 on the Rockwell Hardness test scale. Handles are green linen Micarta with full-tang construction. Five models will be offered with blades lengths from 4 ½" to 6 ¼". All include Ballistic Cloth sheaths with lanyard and accessory pocket. Suggested Retail $149.00 - $299.00.
Horsehair Knives. The new Browning Horsehair knives handle is genuine horsehair in an attractive, unique design. These fixed blade collector's knives feature full-tang construction. The 3 3/8" blades are made of AUS-8A steel. Walnut wood cases double as display stands. Available in five different colored handles, Suggested Retail, 215.00.
Illusion Knives. Browning's new Illusion knives feature ultra-thin construction that makes them easy to slide into pockets without adding excess bulk. The unique blade design has a large cut-out that makes opening with one hand easy. The new Illusion knives handles are anodized aluminum with a 3" folding blade of AUS-8A steel. Available with black or silver handles, Suggested Retail, $59.00.
