About the Job and Company: Browning (www.browning.com) -- located in scenic Mountain Green, Utah -- is hiring in our Web Services Department. If you are a recent college graduate and interested in getting in on a rapidly expanding, forward thinking Web department, and if you love the outdoors, are experienced with guns and hunting, and appreciate a company with a rich traditional heritage and culture you might be the right candidate. This is a new position under the umbrella of Browning’s in-house advertising department.

 Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • As part of a team, manage content on the Browning corporate site and other Browning-related Websites (www.browning.com, www.winchesterguns.com, www.fnhusa.com).
  • Writing Web content as necessary. Collecting, organizing, revising, editing and preparing existing product descriptions. Preparing images for posting. 
  • Creating and modifying HTML content in a dynamic Website environment.
  • Assisting in the creation and editing of content for social networking sites, etc.
  • Maximizing the effectiveness of our Websites, e.g., using SEO and Web analytics.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

            This job requires a broad background, both technical and hunting/shooting.

  • Technical:
    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in New Media, Journalism, Mass Communication or equivalent. Strong copywriting background essential.
    • Must be Web savvy, i.e., knowledgeable about current internet trends.
    • Reasonable comfort level with HTML. General familiarity with Adobe Web-related programs. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Experience with tools and processes for preparing images and video for posting.
    • Knowledge of mobile web technologies, trends and tools.  
  • Hunting/shooting industry knowledge:
    • Above average, proven experience with firearms, hunting, shooting, outdoor gear, technical clothing and the hunting/shooting lifestyle is essential and required.

 Import / Export Specialist - Arnold, Missouri

We have an Import / Export Specialist position available in our Browning Distribution & Service Center located in Arnold, Missouri. Browning, a world leader in firearms and sporting goods, has a high reputation of being "The Best There Is." The candidate we are seeking will be representing Browning with that same "high quality" image.

Summary: Responsible for importing products for Browning Arms Co.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for importing products for Browning.
  2. Responsible for U.S. Customs clearance of all imports for Browning.
  3. Obtain binding rulings, country or origin rulings and classification rulings from U.S. Customs headquarters for product to be imported.
  4. Renew annually and maintain current ATF import permits for firearm product imported. This requires coordination with R & D Dept, Parts Dept, and Firearms Product Managers to assure permits are filed with U.S. Customs before importation.
  5. Prepare all export documentation for weekly Canadian shipments. This involves scheduling trucks and forwarding documents for Canadian Broker for pre-clearance at border.
  6. Daily administrative duties include filing and processing of freight bill.
