The Browning Guy reports on the Harley Ride and Shoot for Juvenile Diabetes.
Release Date: 6/18/2013
The Browning Guy is at it again with another video report from the field.
This time he's in Logan, Utah at the Cache Valley Shooting Facility for a Browning-sponsored "Harley Ride & Shoot" event put on to raise money for Juvenile Diabetes. Over 200 people signed up for this great event, and many of them arrived on their Harley motorcycles.
The fundraiser is referred to as the Ride and Shoot -- but officially it's the "Ride to Bear Arms." Golden Spike Harley-Davidson does some of the heavy lifting and Browning, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, both the Weber and Cache County Sheriff's departments and many others volunteered their time to make it all come together. Plus there were plenty of prizes for all the shooting competitions, including a Buck Mark pistol for the top shooting covering all events.
The Ride to Bear Arms.
This is one shoot where you don't even need to bring your own guns. In fact, for this event all the guns and ammunition are provided. That means participants get a chance to shoot a huge selection of the best new Browning rifles, shotguns and pistols, eat a lot of great food and enjoy the company of good friends along the way. Browning personnel volunteered their time, along with a number of organizations, to help make this charity fundraiser a success.
The final highlight of the event was the big raffle. The lucky winner got to shoot a junker motorcycle that had been fitted with an explosive target. And he got to shoot it with a 50 BMG. Now that's a major boom at both ends for sure.
This event is growing each year and if you live in the area, and you like your bikes and doing some shooting, plan to attend.
"If 250 Harley riders doesn't raise the hair on the back of your neck, nothing will."
