Browning Gun Cases 2009 -- An Overview
Release Date: 2/12/2009
For many years, Browning has offered the best cases to carry your Browning firearms. Nothing but the best materials and workmanship go into each Browning case. You won’t find a weak, flimsy, floppy thin gun case in the Browning line. These are cases that will last and protect your guns.
There are three main categories of Browning gun cases. Click on the links at left to view them and select the model for your particular firearm. Here are some of the new models for 2009.
Browning’s Deluxe Fitted Presentation Cases are tough and attractive on the outside and plush and protective on the inside. Most of these models feature sturdy, rugged shells, water-repellent coatings, brass corner accents, deep pile fleece linings, solid wood framing, accessory compartments and other elegant features to properly transport your expensive guns. These deluxe cases will accommodate most shotguns, pumps, autos and, of course, over and under shotguns.
New for 2009 is the Sporter Series, a solid wood frame, fitted case with PVC-coated exterior, high-density convoluted foam and a full-length leather hinge. Two combination locks add distinction. These cases also have interior tie-down straps and come in black with gold or black with pink piping/Buckmark logo.
The High Grade Canvas case is a solid wood frame covered with canvas, decked out with Crazy Horse leather trim. Protect your fine shotgun inside with a soft wool lining. Adjust the support blocks for a snug fit. Place extra choke tubes or snap caps in the accessory compartment.
The new 2009 Leather/Canvas Motor case has a solid wood frame covered with durable cotton canvas and dark Crazy Horse distressed leather. Inside is plush wool with removable support blocks to adjust fit. With two brass combination locks and a thick leather handle and leather corner caps, the Leather/Canvas Motor case model is a most attractive and practical case.
The Flexible Gun Case Series offer rugged features like heavy-duty canvas fabric, leather, high grade padding materials and strong zippers. Some of these models include a rubber muzzle guard or heavily reinforced end cap for additional protection from nicking or dinging the crown of your barrel. The outer shells, padding and linings are both sewn and glued for added strength. New for 2009 are the Scottsdale and Sheridan flexible cases. The Scottsdale models have a brushed tricot lining, a 600-denier poly canvas shell and a leather muzzle cap protector. The new Sheridan Two-Tone case features a polyester canvas shell, a brushed tricot lining and open cell foam padding. The exterior is a two-tone black and Mossy Oak® camo pattern. (Most Browning flexible cases come equipped with a padlock to assist in the safe storage of firearms.)
Don’t overlook the convenience of storing your guns in VCI Gun Socks. VCI means Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor. The VCI penetrates into the smallest crevices where oils cannot reach, driving out moisture. They provide full protection by forming a vapor enclosure around the firearm from muzzle to butt. The VCI Sock, when used in a gun safe or cabinet, will offer additional protection to all metal items in the enclosed area. One size will fit most long guns. Get a Browning VCI Gun Sock in one full size, or the new two-piece sock.
Next are the airline approved Mirage and Bruiser model cases. The Bruiser offers exceptional protection for firearms during airline travel and transportation. It has a high-density polyethylene double wall construction with rounded corners and recessed handles, making it one tough “Bruiser.” Foam inserts can be extended outward to keep guns separated and protected, or pushed inward if not needed. A tongue and groove lid with O–ring seal provides greater weather resistance, while recessed wheels ensure easy mobility. Both the Mirage and Bruiser cases are available for a single gun or double models.
For your Browning Buck Mark® pistol, there is the Flex Foam Buck Mark Pistol Case. Soft, laminated nylon tricot protects metal surfaces with EVA foam padding. This slick case has two cavities for packing extra magazines.
Don’t settle for a cheap, floppy rag of a gun case that you would be embarrassed to carry your guns in. Such a case offers very little protection to the fit and finish of your firearm. Any model Browning gun case you select is going to tell others that you have a lot of pride in the guns inside.
