No. As long as the serial number that is shipped with the retro fit lock is called in and recorded and tied to the serial number on your safe, the 5 year lock warranty will be valid. It MUST be recorded with Prosteel . A sales receipt for the retro fit lock must also be retained and presented to ProSteel for any warranty work provided. 1-877-501-7233 Ext 14.
