1962-68 From 1958 serial numbers were preceded by the date of manufacture.
2T=Medalist for 1962.
Example: 2T1000 = A 1962 Medalist .22 caliber pistol with serial number 1000
T=Medalist
1969-74 In 1969 Browning started using two digits for the date of manufacture which was followed by letter code:
T=Medalist
This was then followed by the serial number beginning with 1000.
Example: 69T1000 = A 1969 Medalist .22 caliber pistol with serial number 1000.
T=Medalist
