Model 71, 380 Auto Pistol

The Model 71, 380 Auto pistol was introduced in 1971 and was discontinued in 1974. It is sometimes known as the Model 71.

1971-74 In 1969 Browning started using two digits for the date of manufacture which was followed by a four digit code that identified the type of firearm:
N=.380 Auto Pistol with adjustable sight
This was then followed by the serial number beginning with 1000.
Example: 71N1000 = A 1971 380 Auto Pistol with adjustable sight with a serial number of 1000.
